Accounting Setup and Training
My most used small business service is accounting setup with end user training. For those small businesses whom have basic accounting needs, I setup an easy to use bookkeeping system and train you on accounting basics to allow the owner or key personnel to run the system. The user "owns" the system, with me providing support as needed on a frequency that best fits the business (typically quarterly or bi-annually). This saves the business the expense of hiring an ongoing bookkeeper while maintaining a high level of service. I believe the amount of work these owners put in to maintaining their own bookkeeping system is minimal compared to a traditional accountant setup.
Business to Personal Matters
The intersection of personal and business finances provides opportunities for investments. I specialize in working with self-employed and business owners. Typical questions we work with clients through include:
- Should profit be used to invest in business infrastructure, or invested in 401K?
- Which debt should be paid off first: personal or business? How will this affect potential future credit and rates for business needs?
